Luxembourg Grund by Night (2011)

This piece was commissioned privately by a client who wanted her favourite view of Luxembourg painted for a centre piece in her apartment (which is in the central building on the river bank).

She wanted to combine pop art brightness and flat colour with impressionist whimsy and a night time feel. We collaborated to find the right palette for this unique style, which I plan to do more of as it is proven to be quite popular!

Inspired by Magritte's "Ceci n'est pas une pipe", this piece gave me a chance to work on my marbling and trompe l'oiel skills

Using a pounce that I had traced earlier, I was able to transfer the letters onto my prepared background

Signs and Lettering (2011 - 2013)

In this section, there are a few of the signs and lettering pieces that I have done, either for a show (The Common Chorus 2011) or for my own benefit.

Lettering and signwriting is a skill that I enjoy and feel quite confident in.
